Philip Tinari

Art director and Critic



(born 1979) is an art director and critic living in Beijing. He is a contributing editor of Art Forum and editor-in-chief of Leap, a bi-lingual contemporary Chinese art magazine. Tinari has written extensively on contemporary art in China, and in particular, on the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei.In December 2011, Tinari became director of the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art.
